Vic Manuel is a singer songwriter, guitarist, based in Wellington. Born in England, he moved to Australia. His first instrument was flugelhorn in a Cadet Band and at age 13, Vic says, “I found an old half size guitar at school and taught myself how to play. Joined a band at 15 and that was it, I had to be a musician, it was my passion, much to my parents’ horror. I started writing songs and have been writing, singing and performing ever since”.
Vic has recorded 5 albums with different bands and a few EPs under various titles. His two recent solo albums are Bury Me Deep and Live in the kitchen for which he wrote and performed all the songs with support from wonderful musicians. He has performed in the United States and Australia, toured the east coast of Australia from Tasmania to Rockhampton and played at many festivals. In Wellington he performs regularly at the Thorndon Farmers Markets, Southern Cross Hotel and more. His music is an eclectic mix of old timey, Americana and contemporary acoustic folk, and his songs - stories about life, love and people - will make you laugh and cry.
