Buckle up folkies. The dreaded lurgi may have stopped play last year, but JR's annual outing to entertain, edify and amaze is back on for 2022. For the third year in a row (not counting 2021) his unique and unforgettable blend of British folk, originals, quotidian humour, biblical narratives, existential dread, and whatever other stuff might have popped into his balding head will be served piping hot on a steamy bed of mandolin, guitar and piano, and garnished with the dulcet vocal tones of South Dunedin's second best busker (18+ category, 2017 busking festival). If not for the music, then come for the heckling as certain club members seem to like to give him a hard time. Also featuring guest artists Annemarie Nelson and Malcolm Gordon.
